The completely open, fully voluntary nature of the Monarch Community requires that staff and residents assess safety and readiness to handle the rigors and responsibilities of treatment. Residents and loved ones undergo a series of pre-admission screening measures and phone interviews. A final in-person interview and tour of the facility allows the future resident and family to make an informed decision. If admission is offered, family and resident have 24 hours to accept or decline admission.
All new residents admit to the highest level of care-the Residential Treatment Program with 24-hour nursing care. Residents remain in this program until the resident and clinical team conclude they are appropriate for step-down.
During the first weeks the treatment team will work with the resident to craft a treatment plan that guides and informs the individual treatment needs and goals for the resident. Treatment plans focus on symptom reduction, increasing functional capacities, and building/maintaining a fruitful alliance among residents, families, and staff.
Monarch is a private pay organization and cannot currently accept insurance. However, as a non-profit organization we are very cognizant of the high cost of providing effective mental health care, and it is our explicit goal to provide the highest level of service to clients and families at the most reasonable cost possible.
